Subcategories is a second base level classification of any quality indicators where it could be hospital based quality indicators or based on any accreditations like AHRQ/NABH/JCI etc.

The Subcategories could be further drill down into the standardized evidence based indicators.

Eg - Hospital Acquired Infections, there is many indicators can be classified under HAI
